A Slower Start To Your Day (Without Waking Up Earlier)
Share
There’s a version of the morning we all imagine
Slow, quiet, calm
A coffee that’s still hot
A moment before the day begins
And then there’s the reality
School runs, emails, getting everyone out the door
Reaching for whatever’s closest
Starting the day already feeling behind
I used to think a “slow morning” meant waking up earlier
Having more time
Being more organised
But it doesn’t
It’s not about having more time
It’s about using a few minutes differently
Even now, most mornings are still full
But I’ve found small ways to make them feel softer
Putting the kettle on before I check my phone
Sitting down, even if it’s just for a minute
Using the same mug every day because it just feels better
Taking a second to wake up properly, instead of rushing straight into everything
It’s not a full routine
It’s not perfect
It’s just small moments that feel like mine
That’s what I come back to when I think about Suku
Not big changes
Not unrealistic routines
Just pieces you reach for without thinking
That make everyday moments feel a little more intentional
I’ve been building something around this idea
pieces designed for those quieter starts to the day
